COSP VERONA Comitato provinciale per l’orientamento scolastico e professionale Verona – C.O.S.P. Verona ( = Local organisation for school and vocational guidance Verona) C.O.S.P. Verona was officially founded at the end of 1990. Its goal is to act as intermediary among school institutions, the local Department of Work Offices, the Regione Veneto and many other institutions (the town councils, Chamber of Commerce, Club Service, entrepreneur's associations, trade unions and vocational guidance and vocational training agencies) which have an interest in training, education and guidance.COSP Verona gives input for reaserch, for study activities, for counselling, for assistance to cousellors, to teachers, to students and their families and to workers and unemployed in Verona – Italy.COSP Verona leads a synergic network among different organisations: various schools and vocational training agencies, distretti scolastici, entrepreneur’ s associations, labour unions, club services, university, etc.It is supported by the Provincial Education Office in Verona, Provincia of Verona, Verona University, Regione Veneto, Rotary International Clubs n. 2060, local important banks and the local Chamber of Commerce. COSP Verona is a corporate body controlled by private law. It is a non profit organisation.Its activities are: To stimulate a new network among the school world, the vocational training agencies, the Verona University and local enterprises; To give school and vocational guidance services to many different target groups: students (about 8.000 per year), families (5.000 parents), young people in vocational training, adults, women and immigrants (about 1.000 per year) - guidance interviews, skills balance, motivation activities, training, etc; To support and promote international partnerships between European countries according to Community programmes, which involve different organisations with an interest in training; To increase the value of independent projects suggested by local high schools; To promote and organize pubblic conferences about guidance questions, education system, European dimension, use of TIC, labour market trends, professional profiles; To promote research and monitor the state of education and the actions of school and vocational guidance in Verona; To help comparing and connecting existing activities trough the promotion of experimental projects. The field of our activities: vocational guidance and training, guidance and couselling services to students, adults, employees, validation/certification of skills, training of trainers. Interest in exchanging methodologies and practises for training, for producing materials and products for tutors, teachers and trainers about labour market and professional profiles; in increasing use of TIC in field of guidance, counselling, training and life long learning. Our main projects are: ITINERA School and vocational guidance for III – IV – V year students in public and private local high school. Subscribers schools n. 40, students about n. 9.000.In this project we propose guidance for students about european mobility, vocational training, labour market, university studies, BUSSOLA A guidebook for selecting a school and planing a career, with any advice and information on all high school in Verona. Edition: this guide is given to 10.000 students in Verona. AGGIORNAMENTO E FORMAZIONE Cosp has promoted a few “Refreshing and Training Courses” for counsellors and for teachers about your rules, competences, TIC use, equal opportunities, in network with local Education Ministry Office. INVESTIRE IN FORMAZIONE (= To invest in professional training) The object is to support the establishment of new projecting teams, composed by local government, school tutor, professional clubs, etc. The COSP role is to assist this process of establishment. NETWORK DEI CLUB PER IL LAVORO ( = Job Clubs Network – Links for unemployed) Cosp Verona supports and sponsors a new network between main Job Clubs in order to help meeting supply and demand for jobs (guidance interviews, curriculum vitae, Internet use, tutoring). CENTRI PER L'IMPIEGO Counselling in cooperation with Local Department of Work Offices for adults, employees, unemployeds, women, immigrants, young people in initial vocational training, etc (900 contacts per year).
